I REALLY Need People to Stop Whining About Not Getting a Bonus

I’ve never wanted to smash a guitar so much while wearing a black, mesh dress. It looks like fun.

You didn’t get a bonus? OH MY GOD. How dare they? Please write a story forthwith about the inequality of life while the other half of the world is starving.

First of all, you’re clogging up my feed with stories that are not actual writing. They’re complaints that belong on Facebook and Twitter.

You’re making me want to mute you but I don’t want to mute anyone because then I’ll miss out on your legit stories. Some of which I might enjoy if you’d stop complaining.

Second, you can stop playing the ‘woe is me’ game assuming it’s ONLY long-time, big name writers receiving bonuses and making money. It’s not.

There’s a guy who has only been writing here for a few months and doesn’t even have 300 followers who keeps receiving the big bonus. I know this because I am him and believe me, he is no top writer. He just strikes a chord every now and then.

I’m guessing he makes readers FEEL something other than ire toward this platform.

Medium rants are not helping you reach any status, never mind top writer status.
